The admission process for in-residence services:
Step 1: Take a Tour
We encourage applicants and their families to tour our campuses. A resident volunteer, who can share a valuable perspective on daily life at the Home, often joins the tour. Allow about 90 minutes for the tour. Afterward, we provide you with an Application Packet containing a Personal Information Form and a Physician’s Report.
Step 2: Interview
Once we receive your Personal Information Form and Physician’s Report, we invite you to an interview to assess your needs. At this appointment you can meet with a Jewish Home Nurse and Admissions Financial Coordinator. (Please note: Income levels do not determine admission to the Jewish Home.) Allow two hours for this appointment. Completion of the tour and the Information Form does not guarantee admission to the Home.
Step 3: Select a residence
Once you have met admissions criteria, you may select your room, based on availability. Because appropriate residences are not always immediately available, the Admissions Team meets regularly to review each applicant’s priority of need. Upon admission, the applicant and family sign admissions documents, meet their social worker, and view their residence. This appointment generally takes two hours.
